Wilderness Wednesday

No pictures this week, but Brianna did show me she's learning from these Nature Studies! We went for a walk in the park today and Brianna surprised me by remembering the names of several birds that we don't see everyday. She named off red-winged black birds, robins (which we DO see all the time), starlings, a male mallard (which she did even identify as male) and a few others.

We are finally getting some warmer weather so hopefully our Nature Studies will be further flung!

What did you do this week?

  1. Our nature studies was a wonderful supper outside near the bird feeders. While eating take-out pizza, we watched red-wing blackbirds, rusty blackbirds, juncos, and chicadees fly around and listened the the spring peepers call out from the vernal pool behind our house. No walks this week. It's our first day without rain!
